In my life before being medically retired I was involved with several businesses, either creating them myself, or as a business consultant. Now, I am using the skill I learned in those roles, as well as my lived experience of Multiple Sclerosis, asthma, sarcoidosis, and persistent post traumatic headache to advocate for including patients in research.

I am doing this through the university in Galway (NUIG) as an Embedded Patient Researcher, advising the HSE (the Health Service Executive in Ireland), industry, my blog “A 30 Minute Life” (www.a30minutelife.com) and various non-profit organisations.
