Our Ecosystem

The mission of the Finland’s ecosystem is to promote health and wellness amongst the regional population.

Given that the South Ostrobothnia region in western Finland is mainly rural, the ecosystem focuses on the following services: · Knowledge management in the social and health sector · Big data, data pools, data exploitation, artificial intelligence and support · Digital and distance services · Connectivity, communications, diagnostics, client-centred healthcare · Technologies that gamify social and health care activities · Technologies and services to support living at home · Equality, accessibility and digital support · Service processes in social and health care and the changes needed as a result of digitalisation · Technology implementation processes, skills needed to operate in a digital environment · Co-development of technologies

The ecosystem is supported by an international cooperation network led by its representative organisation – Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. More than 200 universities on five continents belong to the community, which fosters the exchange of ideas to improve health and wellness.
