The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data
Enriching knowledge & enhancing care through health data
innovation for HealthData

i~HD is a neutral, European, not-for-profit organisation. We strive for a world in which multiple stakeholders collaborate in the trustworthy use of high-quality health data to continuously improve care and accelerate research. We promote, develop and share good practices, tools and quality assessments to maximise community value from health data for innovations in health, care and research.

We unite and catalyse the community of health data stakeholders within our neutral forum: patients, healthcare providers, health policy makers & funders, pharma & life sciences, standards & certification organisations, health ICT industry, academia & research centers, health & data strategy organisations and the data-driven industry.

We create innovative solutions and programmes, practical guides, and educational resources in the field of our six core work streams: quality of health data, information governance, trustworthy health ICT systems, interoperability standards, quality labels and scaling up the health ecosystem.
We assess the quality and trustworthy uses of health data and award seals and certificates.
We play a strong role in (inter)national R&D projects, staying connected with state-of-the-art innovations in healthcare and clinical research.

Our tasks
in the project

i~HD leads a work package focused on the pilot studies and their evaluation. Nine pilots sites will utilize a common set of digital tools developed in the project to help patients to better understand their medication. This WP will conduct evaluations to derive the evidence on how delivering this better-quality medication and health information through mobile technologies can impact on their understanding of their medication, adherence to it and health outcomes. We are also contributing to the business modelling and long-term sustainability strategy, to help sustain the products and services that consortium partners develop; also, to stimulate the wider ecosystem towards the better production and delivery to patients of structured and user-friendly medication information.

Our contribution to the project

1Leading a work package on piloting and evaluating the Gravitate Health solutions

2Leading a task on business modelling and the sustainability of the Gravitate Health solutions

A TASTE OF OUR WORK
We have organised multiple successful international conferences and workshops where stakeholders could connect and share innovations in data use. We are currently involved in some 20 R&D and collaborative projects where we put our services and expertise into practical scenarios, and improve and expand our portfolio of solutions.
