Gravitate Health has been instrumental to create a vibrant multi-stakeholder community that is paving the way for broader uptake and adoption of electronic product information, putting European Medicines Agency ePI key principles to work in ways that ensure patient centricity at the heart of new digital health information solutions.
From the discussion at DIA Europe 2025, we saw that Gravitate Health has been a catalyst to promote wider uptake and maturity of the ePI FHIR standards; also, it was highlighted that at Gravitate Health we are emphasising patients’ active contributions in co-creation of solutions that improve access to understandable information for safer use of medicines.
We’ve learned, that the quality of the information resources is crucial, and if we get standardisation and harmonisation right, it may open up a lot of doors for dissemination downstream to and with patients and their support network.
Lastly, a new initiative was announced at this session: the Gravitate Health Open E2E ePI Community aiming to create and share enriched electronic medicinal product information (ePI) to prepare for the future! Founding members of the Community are Gravitate Health with Docuvera, EXTEDO and Rote Liste.
ABOUT THE SESSION
The session took place on Wednesday March 19th at DIA Europe 2025. Anne Moen talked about how Gravitate Health leverages digital approaches and standards-based electronic product information (ePI) for the benefit of patients and other stakeholders. Other Gravitate Health partners also took part in this session: Koen Nauwelaerts (Bayer) as a speaker and Kate Porch (J&J) as moderator of the panel discussion.
