ePI on FHIR: Shaping the Future of Global Healthcare – Part 2
Gravitate Health and FIFARMA, which represents research‑based pharmaceutical companies and associations across Latin America and the Caribbean, shared the latest perspectives on electronic Product Information (ePI) and digital health.
Following introductions by Mrs Ronnie Mundair, (Pfizer, Gravitate-Health) and Mrs Yaneth Giha (FIFARMA), Mr Diego Salas (FIFARMA), presented the LatAm Playbook for Electronic Product Information (ePI) Implementation. FIFARMA, together with EFPIA, developed the Playbook to fulfil their objective: promote innovative ecosystems and policies that support the strengthening of sustainable health systems of the Latin American countries and advance towards better health in the region.
Among the speakers, Prof. Anne Moen, Academic Coordinator, University of Oslo, briefly presented Gravitate-Health at this final phase of the project. Dr. Erol Hofmans (MEB – Gravitate-Health) talked about the perspective of the Medicines Evaluation Board -The Netherlands National Competent Authority- on advancing the national ePI journey through Gravitate Health. Mr Craig Anderson, Business Product Director for Labeling, Johnson & Johnson focused on FHIR ePI -through a more technical approach- and the impact on global digital labeling strategies. The session’s closing remarks addressed Mr Leonardo Semprun (MSD & FIFARMA).
