Gravitate Health’s valuable outputs in a nutshell

Gravitate Health project set out to fulfill an ambitious mission, to empower and equip Europeans with Health Information from trusted sources, for active, personal health management and adherence to treatment, starting with ePI.

During its lifetime the project can showcase a number of valuable outputs which will be discussed at the Closing Conference:

  • The development of G-lens®, a digital tool that provides a more personalized presentation of electronic Product Information (ePI) by tailoring medication leaflets to an individual’s specific needs based on their personal health data, preferences and context of use.
  • Content Focusing Mechanism: With the G-lens® the project demonstrated mechanisms to highlight essential medication information for the user, making complex regulatory labels easier to navigate and understand.
  • Global Standard Advancement: The project has been instrumental in driving the creation and adoption of the global HL7 FHIR ePI standard, in full alignment between the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and ready for global use as the VULCAN ePI profile.
  • ISO IDMP Integration: Gravitate-Health leverages and contributes to ISO IDMP (Identification of Medicinal Products) standards to leverage international interoperability and ensure accurate product identification across different healthcare systems and markets.
  • Multilingual Access: A major output is providing medicine information in a citizen’s language of choice, which is critical for patient safety and understanding, and useful for cross-border mobility within Europe.
  • Minimum Viable Products (MVPs): The project has delivered functional MVPs that demonstrate how personalized health information from trusted sources can drive medication adherence and patient safety. Moreover, to ensure long-term use across Europe, the project integrates its focusing mechanisms into existing digital health systems, such as the Danish medication card or Portugues SN24, eliminating the need for citizens to download separate applications.

Gravitate Health created a broad stakeholder ecosystem: operating as a public-private partnership with 45 partners across 16 European countries and the USA, the project collaborated with regulatory bodies like the EMA and FDA, with the pharmaceutical industry, information content providers, standards organizations, academia, and patient organizations to drive global standard adoption.

Join the Open Community Day at our Closing Conference and find out more about the next day after the project conclusion.
